About Us

2024 was our first year of cut flower farming and we are excited to open our doors to our family, friends, and neighbors.  Every time we run into town, folks ask, “How are the flowers?”.  Our family has received a lot of support and excitement from the community, which we truly appreciate.

We are Flowers at Grover Farms, located in Carrollton, Ohio.  This is a family farm made up of Glen Grover and his wife, Eunice; Renee (Grover) Moran and her husband Jonathan, their son Ezra – you’ll know Renee and Jonathan from the Light House; Jill Grover Shifflett and her husband, Avery; parents Harold and Sue Grover and sister Lisa Gascoigne.  We all help out in small to big ways to support our new endeavor.

We’ve gotten that question a lot!  We are starting a cut flower farm.  9 times out of 10, the next question was – What’s that?  We are growing flowers for people to come and pick their own from our garden, or we can pick the flowers for them and have bouquets to purchase from our farm stand or made to order from our Flower Shop.  Workshops will be held at our Flower Shop on how to pick the flowers and arrange them.  We’ve even added a really pretty outdoor space for our events and decided to let other people rent it for their own small events.

Grover Family Farm

Harold and Aurelia Grover started farming here in Carrollton in 1965.  Their son Glen took over running the farm and has had dairy and beef cattle.  For the past 50+ years, his family has been a part of the agricultural community, raising hay, corn and soybeans.

Glen and his daughter, Renee Moran and niece, Jill Grover Shifflett are the current co-owners of the family farm.  It was a difficult choice; however, the decision was made in 2023 to be the final year of agricultural farming.  Glen saw an article about cut flower farming and from there the idea grew and grew and grew!  This has been a huge shift in growing and harvesting practices as well as the equipment used.  The goal is to keep the family close to home and better able to support each other.  So far, so good!
